Mave Interior Design Studio is the culmination of 10 years of experience, countless projects, and a passion for creating dynamic and aesthetically pleasing environments.

Founded by Katie Maudsley, a BC-born interior designer, Mave creates spaces that elevate our clients’ lives through beautiful, functional design. Our projects are fresh, modern, and designed to optimize your living space. Our clients are our inspiration - we tailor everything to who you are, what you love, and the space we are working with to create the perfect feeling of home.
Our greatest joy is creating something new and unique for each one of our clients. We are passionate about the environment and are always looking for innovative ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle. We are looking forward to our upcoming Passive House new builds, and would welcome any inquiries or connections to building towards a better planet.

A good layout is the key to great design. We start with this to create a space that is as functional as it is beautifully designed.

Whether you need to reconfigure your entire interior space, or simply improve the layout and function of your kitchen, we can provide plans for approval and construction.

Conceptual Development

We work with you to explore your design ideas, refine, and build a cohesive concept that sets the tone for your entire project.

3D Visual Rendering

3D renderings illustrate how your layout and design concept come together. Our renderings are completed in-house and totally customized just for your project.

Materials & Fixtures

These two components are integral to making your new space feel like home. We suggest and deliver samples to you, saving you valuable time.

Implementation

From site visits to the very last decisions, we ensure our design is executed to match your exact vision.

Principal designer

Katie received her Diploma in Interior design in 2014 at British Columbia Institute of Technology. She immediately stepped into the world of design, working at various award-winning design firms and gaining valuable experience. After a contract position concluded she decided to try freelance design work, which naturally blossomed into Mave Studio. For the past two years, Katie has also worked as a Teachers Assistant at BCIT, and loves that she is able to work alongside some of her previous instructors to encourage the next generations of designers.
When she isn't busy helping clients and students, you can find Katie exploring BC's natural beauty in her customized camper van, paddle boarding, creating custom paintings for friends and family, and taking photos along the way.
